While several Platform 9 ¾ scenes were shot at King's Cross Station, the well-known platform was recreated at Leavesden for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2. You will find the set to be complete with elements of the real King’s Cross Station such as the train track, the clock, the brink walls and other design elements.

Dark Arts

An exciting attraction of the Harry Potter Studio London which will soon be open to the public from 23rd September is the Dark Arts. Visit during Halloween and get the Dark Arts experience at the studio as you find yourself in the darker Platform 9 ¾, and get a spooky feeling at the Great Hall and Diagon Alley while following the Dark Mark trail. As you suddenly find yourself involved in duels against the Death Eaters, you will know that only your wand can help you combat the moves. Be sure to visit Dark Arts before 6th November 2022 as it will close down after that.

  • Best Time To Visit: Weekdays are the best if you want to avoid the crowds of this popular attraction. Also, you will encounter a comparatively less crowd if you are visiting in the summer season from June to September. If crowds do not bother you, visit during Christmas to feel the magical experience owing to the beautiful decoration and festive ambience.

  • By Train: You can take the 20-minute long train journey from London and an hour-long train journey from Birmingham New Street and get down at the Watford Junction. From the station, take the shuttle to reach the studio.
  • By Bus: Shuttle buses run regularly from the nearest station, Watford Junction to the studio and it will take you around 15 minutes to reach. You will get a bus every 20 minutes from 9:20 AM every day till 8:00 PM. To get into the shuttle, you will need to show your booking confirmation.
  • By Car: The studio is located at a distance of only 32 km from the northwest of London and around 4.5 km from Junction 6 of the M1 and M25 motorways. Take a car and travel via A41 to reach the studio.
